Chris Ragland is an experienced Senior Executive with 20+ years of success in the global animal health industry. His assignments have included commercial operations, R&D, business development, and general management. Key areas of responsibility have emphasized strategy development, business integration, research program leadership, and merger/acquisition oversight. After concluding his assignment of President of Intervet Inc. in April 2008, Chris founded Axxiom as an executive consultancy focused on the development and commercialization of new animal health technologies, M&A, strategy development, and business integration initiatives. Over the past 4 years, Chris and the Axxiom team have successfully executed a variety of initiatives for several leading animal health and veterinary distribution companies as well as overseen start-ups in both the veterinary pharmaceutical and biotech markets.
Chris is also CEO of Animalytix, the premier provider of business intelligence services for the US animal health market and co-founder of ATS, an animal health-focused professional training organization located in Kansas City, MO. Dave Cunningham is a highly accomplished Senior Executive with 20+ years of success in the US animal health industry. Over the course of his career, Dave has held multiple assignments in sales, marketing, business development, and executive management for several of the leading US animal health companies. Notable among these are his positions as VP of Sales and Marketing at Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica and AgriLabs, and most recently, as President and CEO of Teva Animal Health.
Dave has served as an advisory board member for the Kansas City Corridor, a board member for The Institute for Industrial and Applied Life Sciences at Missouri Western, and currently serves on the board of ImmuCell Corporation. Dave is an Iowa native and graduate of Iowa State University where he earned a BS in Animal Science. Dave operates from the company’s offices in Kansas City, MO.
Steve Ellsworth has 30 years' experience researching, developing, and manufacturing vaccines for cattle, horses, swine, poultry, and companion animals. Having run research units and overseen major manufacturing activities during his career at Schering-Plough Animal Health and Intervet Inc., Steve has deep insights into the entire technical process for vaccine commercialization from concept through delivery of a final finished good. Through his capacity as a bench researcher, plant manager, and, ultimately, Vice President of Operations, Steve holds invaluable expertise and a unique perspective on the requirements need to build and maintain a veterinary biologics company as a successful commercial enterprise.
Steve is a native of South Dakota and holds a BS and an MS in Microbiology from South Dakota State University and a DVM from the University of Missouri. Steve is also a Board-certified veterinary microbiologist and works from his office in Lawrence, KS.
John Foxx has over 30 years' experience in the animal health industry. He has held positions in virtually every core function in commercial operations, including sales, marketing, product management, and business development, as well as running both domestic and global business unit operations. John has extensive expertise in the poultry and swine industries, launching some of the most impactful products in these markets, including Circumvent® PCV and Circumvent® PCV M, the first, highly successful circovirus and circovirus combination vaccines in the US.
John is also owner and managing member of JAF Consulting, LLC, an animal health consultancy focused on business development, product introductions, and general marketing support for animal health initiatives. John is a native of Ohio and holds a BS in Animal Sciences from University of Delaware. John operates from his office in Salisbury, MD.
Travis Meredith holds a unique insight into the animal health market that spans over 15 years and has extensive knowledge in the scope of the animal health supply chain. He has successfully launched new products into the companion animal, equine, and cattle markets for companies ranging from venture-backed start-ups to global manufacturers, as well as having owned and operated multiple companion animal and equine veterinary practices. He also has effectively guided several new-stage animal health ventures through both the investment and product development processes.
Travis holds a DVM from Texas A&M University, did his residency training at The University of Pennsylvania, and earned an MBA from the University of North Carolina. Travis is a Maryland native who operates from his office outside of Philadelphia, PA.
Terry Sheehan’s 35 years of experience in the animal health industry started with the Hoechst Roussel Vet organization in 1978 as a Territory Representative and progressed through various positions of increasing responsibility and leadership in all segments of animal health, including sales, marketing, business development, commercial operations, and most recently as Vice President, Commercial Operations of Intervet/Schering-Plough. Terry’s experience crosses all markets including cattle, swine, poultry, equine, and companion animals. He has effectively led organizations through multiple mergers & acquisition events, more than 100 new product launches, a broad base of business initiatives and technology implementations.
Terry is also President of AniConsilia LLC, an animal health consultancy focused on animal health start-up development. He is a Kentucky native and holds a BS in Economics from the University of Kentucky. Terry operates from his office in Dayton, OH.
Bryan Gathagan is a proven leader with 25 years' experience, including multiple organizational functions and international roles. Bryan’s broad experience includes general business, finance, and global IT & business systems, with a key focus on driving improved performance via best practices, people-oriented leadership, and performance-oriented cultures. In addition to his international animal health experience as a senior executive at Intervet, Bryan held various positions in banking, specialty finance, and education. Bryan served as a Vice President in each industry outside education.
Bryan is also owner and managing member of broad Thinking, LLC, a strategic IT consulting firm. He holds a BS in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and an MS in Business from Johns Hopkins University.
