Steve Ellsworth has 35 years’ experience researching, developing, and manufacturing vaccines for cattle, horses, swine, poultry, and companion animals. Having run research units and overseen major manufacturing activities during his career at Schering-Plough Animal Health and Intervet Inc., Steve has deep insights into the entire technical process for vaccine commercialization from concept through delivery of a final finished good. Through his capacity as a bench researcher, plant manager, and, ultimately, vice president of operations, Steve holds invaluable expertise and a unique perspective on the requirements needed to build and maintain a veterinary biologics company as a successful commercial enterprise.

Steve is a native of South Dakota and holds a BS and an MS in Microbiology from South Dakota State University and a DVM from the University of Missouri. Steve is also a board-certified veterinary microbiologist and works from his office in Lawrence, KS.
